STATE OF AFFAIRS

Current mood: anxious

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"It is not necessary to change. Survival is not mandatory."
William Edwards Deming
October 14, 1900 - December 20, 1993
an American statistician, college professor, author, lecturer, and consultant.

It seems the longer I keep this up, the more I try to branch off to keep it fresh and new. The more I try to keep it fresh and new, the more I keep ending up in the same spot. I keep finding new places and I keep writing the same things. Well I say enough of that.

I have a few waste of space sites going on right now, and I'll keep you updated on how they go. The one I'm sharing first because it wil forever be a work in progress is a place where I'm putting up my photo's. Yeah I know I can do that here, and I will, sorta. I like having options. Sue me. LOL.

So if you want to see what I see those times I have my camera with me and charged
CoaceVisuals I'll try to add pics every couple of days.

Also if you go to my profile page, you'll see I have a Project Playlist Player (Y2JOSE07) there. But I know how obnoxious it is to get to a page and the music starts automatically, so if you want to hear the music you actually got to click on it. (this obviously doesn't relate to this site, but since I'm here so often, I like hearing the music) I'm going to start a music blog on there as soon as I have a little of extra time, which I'll be doing on the days I don't do the CoaceVisuals site. I haven't blogged anything on there yet (well other than what you have already read here), but I will start that soon.

Oh yeah, just so you know, there no rhyme or reason for the songs I choose. It's just a whim kind of thing, so you will get quite an eclectic musical experience.

Y2JOSE07 Is the link for that. Basically I'm going to start devoting more time to both of these, along with a couple more places closer to the end of the month. I figure by then I'll have enough back logged stuff to keep it all interesting. Well as atleast as interesting as I uausally am, which at times I know I am as exciting as watching paint dry.

I guess I have reached a point where I need to challenge myself as much as possible, in everything I do.

Well it's either that or I'm a glutton for punishment.

*** THE EVERYTHING TEST ***

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all. Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-).

PERSONALITY
You are more emotional than logical, more concerned about self than concerned about others, more atheist than religious, more dependent than loner, more lazy than workaholic, more traditional than rebel, more artistic mind than engineering mind, more cynical than idealist, more leader than follower, and more introverted than extroverted.

As for specific personality traits:
you are outgoing (100%)
adventurous (75%)
romantic (71%)
innovative (71%).

STEREOTYPES
Punk Rock (80%)
White Trash (64%)
Emo Kid (56%)

LIFE EXPERIENCE
Sex (54%)
Substances (41%)
Travel (26%)

POLITICS
Your political views would best be described as Libertarian, whom you agree with around 91% of the time.

SOCIOECONOMIC
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Working Class.

You make more than 57% of those who have taken this test, and 54% less than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated R.

By the way, your hottness rank is 62%, hotter than 56% of other test takers.

You Belong in 1987
Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

You Are: 30% Dog, 70% Cat
You and cats have a lot in common.

You're both smart and in charge - with a good amount of attitude.

However, you do have a very playful side that occasionally comes out!

A BIT OF HISTORY DYING OUT

Current mood: sad

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Our ignorance of history causes us to slander our own times."
Gustave Flaubert
December 12, 1821 – May 8, 1880
a French novelist

It seems weird to me. That in a few short years, the survivors of WWII will no longer be with us. That was a thought that had never crossed my mind. That the men, women and children of that era will simply cease to be. Believe me, I have no "romanticized ideals" about WWII. It is/was as brutal and ugly as any war before and since than.

But, I have a deep respect for the survivors and that "time."

When allies were there for each other, supporting each other.

When most of the free world were united in the same cause.

When warriors returned from the battlefield to open arms of loved ones.

When victims were sheltered, fed and cared for.

When heroes were not just a men in uniform, but also the woman in the work place.

When patriotism was a tangible emotion.

When we respected our world leaders and our commanders.

Than I get slapped in the face with the reality of today. That the survivors of today's wars are someone else's problem. That we truly have no "allies" in the world. That the world is more divided than ever before. That today's warriors return, only to be chastised for doing what they believe is right. That the victim's are now exploited on television, in the news and in the media. That there really are no more heroes in this world. Where patriotism equals a "me first" thought process. And that every world leader today is a punchline to some body's joke.

Maybe, we need to talk to and to listen to those survivors one last time. Because there is coming a day, when that won't be an option.

WHAT THE HELL IS A SNOZBERRY?

Current mood: contemplative

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Even if the voices are not real, they have some good ideas."
Anonymous

I've been thinking again. That's never a good thing you know. I start with a stupid idea, and from that stupid idea I get a whole crap load of inane things floating through my head. So since that is what I was doing at work, which ended just short of 4 hours ago, I have watched WWE Monday Night Raw, and sent out a couple of e-mails, you guys and gals get this...

What the hell IS a snozberry?

If Smurfs are 3 apples high which realistically would make their mushroom houses at least 5 apples high...how on Earth was Gargamel NOT able to find their village?

How come in every fight scene where there are multiple bad guys and one lone good guy...do the bad guys attack one at a time?

And how come the bad guys can unload round after round of bullets never hitting the good guy, but with one bullet they are able to hit the lover/family/friend of the main good guy?

Why do people who watch movies with superheroes, are able to accept healing factors/flaming heads/flying/telekinesis, but have an issue when the hero wiggles his finger and goes "UH UH UH"?

Who on this earth doesn't know that smoking is bad for them?

If smoking is so bad why isn't it illegal?

How come people still believe WWE wrestling is real, and cannot accept that it is just a scripted stunt show?

How come parks are so empty?

Will POGS ever make a comeback?

OK...brain is tapped out...well that and I'm out of smokes...talk to you all soon...

AN INTRODUCTION TO SOME and OLD NEWS FOR OTHERS

Current mood: busy

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I would much rather have regrets about not doing what people said, than regretting not doing what my heart led me to and wondering what life had been like if I'd just been myself."
Brittany Renée
born 1986 - Present
English Author and Dancer

I realize I spend more time trying to find the "perfect" quote of the day, than I do actually writing these blog entries. Well let's see where we are...

I guess there are some new people reading this, and becoming the blog whore that I never meant to become, I guess I should reintroduce myself. So...

Hello. I'm Jose. I recently turned 35, I have been married for 1 year 1 month and 14 days. I have been with my wife Season (which is a nickname that came about because I accidentally combines her first and middle name in one tender moment) for 2 years 1 months and 14 days. We, basically meaning my wife, have 3 cats (which is my way of saying 4 to many). We fight. We laugh. Were about as normal as dysfunctional gets. And were as dysfunctional as normal gets. We are all these things.

I work at a job I hate, doing something I loathe, but I like my boss, sometimes, and I like my co-workers, as long as I'm not "working" with them.

I blog because it's cheaper than therapy. I blog because it does help clear my mind from all the usual white noise that's in my head. I am an opinionated man, but I won't share them all, just the ones I feel I need to express. It's all pretty subjective.

I probably spend to much time on the web, and nowhere near the same amount of time checking my e-mails...which I should probably check soon. But since were having Jeff (the man previously known as step-father) over for dinner means I probably won't get to it until tomorrow.

I guess everything else you need to know will come about as I write on what I have named "my lil waste of space."

So for those just joining...

Hello, hi, howdy and hola...I hope I am as funny and interesting as I am in my head...

and for those who have already been reading this...

Hello, hi, howdy, hola, and I'm sorry I'm not as funny and interesting as I am in my head, but please don't tell the newbies.

OK, I'm done for now.

THE REASON FOR THEFT AND LIFE EXPERIENCES

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Good judgment comes from experience, and often experience comes from bad judgment."
Rita Mae Brown
November 28, 1944 - PRESENT
an American writer, Emmy-nominated screenwriter

Greetings, hello, and what the hell is happenin' mah PEEPS!!! OK, ok, I know it's a little on the overboard side but I'm feeling pretty good. I'm vertical and ventilating, people are reading my waste of space, it's a weekend, I'm going to Maxwell Street Days (for those not in SE WI, it's an outdoor park sized...well I guess rummage sale is the best way to describe it), spending part of my day with the man who used to be called step-dad, still married, still in love, and I'm still stealing blog ideas and/or bulletins. It's not easy coming up with something insightful everyday. I mean I personally have a good idea maybe once a week, but thanks to my music/porn downloader (that's my computer in case you were wondering) I'm able to have many many good ideas everyday. Does that mean I am lazy? Maybe. But at least I'm resourceful (thank you MacGyver). So since my time is limited today...

"I like to think of my behavior in the sixties as a 'learning experience.' Then again, I like to think of anything stupid I’ve done as a 'learning experience.' It makes me feel less stupid."

The Stupid Test Read over these questions, if anything here has happened to you...
(Try not to get too high a score, guys...It's the kinda test where you'll cry if you get a hundred...)
Put an X for each that is true.
[X] Gum has fallen out of your mouth when you were talking.
[X] You have ran into a glass/screen door many times.
[X] You have jumped out of a moving vehicle.
[X] You have thought of something funny and laughed, then people gave you weird looks.
[X] You have ran into a tree/bush.
[ ] You know that it IS possible to lick your elbow.
[X] You have tried to lick your elbow.
[X] You never knew that the Alphabet and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same rhythm.
[X] You just tried to sing them.
[X] You have tripped on your shoelace and fallen.
[X] You have choked on your own spit
[ ] You have seen the Matrix and still don't get it.
[ ] You've never seen the Matrix.
[ ] You type only with two fingers.
[X] You have accidentally caught something on fire.
[X] you tried to drink out of a straw, but it went into your nose.
[X] You have caught yourself drooling.
[X] If someone says "fart" you laugh.
[X] you just laughed
[X] Sometimes you just stop thinking.
[X]You are telling a story and forget what you were talking about.
[X] People often shake their heads and walk away from you.
[X] You are often told to use your "inside voice"
[ ] You use your fingers to do simple math.
[X] You have eaten a bug.
[X] You are taking this test when you should be doing something more important.
[X] You've looked all over for something and realized it was in your hand.
[X] You have ran around naked in your house.
[]You repost bulletins because you are scared that what they say will happen to you if you don't.
[X] You break a lot of things.
[] Your friends know not to use big words on you.
[X] You tilt your head when you're confused.
[X] You have fallen out of your chair before.
[X] When you're laying in bed, you try to find pictures in the texture on the ceiling.
[X] The word"ummmmm" is used many times a day.

NOW, take the number of X's you have and multiply it by 2.6 to get your answer.

NOW SADLY THIS MAKES ME 72.8% STUPID...that's a shocker.

At work today we were talking about dreams. I don't usually talk about my dreams, partly because they are to me a usually very private road I walk on. Secondly, most people already think I have a screw loose, and when I tell them about my dreams, that usually convinces them I do. But today I was wondering

Why do we dream?

Why do we get scared in dreams?

Why do we feel joy in dreams?

Why?

I don't have any answers for any of this. It's just what was going through my mind today. Just thought I'd share.

GETTING OLDER

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"The best thing about growing older is that it takes such a long time”
Anonymous

It doesn't feel much different anymore, getting older that is.

I remember when it meant the whole world.

When I was 12 and I couldn't wait until I joined the coolest ranks of the "TEEN" era.

When I was 17 getting ready to be at least officially an adult.

Even though 18 years later I have yet to act like said adult.

The almost unbearable moment when I could walk into a bar at age, but having to wait out my last few moments at age 20.

Now 15 years later, I wish they would still ask to check my ID.

Getting to the moment when I could say "A quarter of a century old."

When turning upon turning 30 years old, I had a "grown up" birthday party, only to find out I wasn't indestructible.

Now this is the 3rd birthday I have spent with Season.

And it's the 2nd that I can completely remember.

That's actually a great gift you know.

Being able to remember, instead of just a hazy drunken stupor.

Ok I guess I'm done.

Not much to really talk about, just a bunch of random thoughts that came into my head about a single topic.

Talk to you soon.

I'M OLDER TODAY...yay

"Age is something that doesn't matter, unless you are a cheese."

Yuppers today is the anniversary of the day I came kicking and screaming into a world that may not have wanted me, but got me none the less. My sweet Season is so upset that on this "joyous occasion" (said with LARGE AMOUNTS OF DRIPPING AND STICKY SARCASM) that instead of doing anything we'll be home cleaning and watching movies. I find this most ironic, because well without the cleaning aspect, staying home and watching movies is just what I like to do on my birthday. I've outgrown the need to be so "pissed" that I fall out of parked cars and break bones that were perfectly fine before this moment. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy a nice cold beer once in a while, but the need to be "hammered," not that high on my list. So instead I started going through my pic files and decided to add a few more for you viewing pleasure.

This is where I work my magic. This is the place where all my "BLOG VOODOO, THAT I DO, SO WELL" happens...kinda explains a lot doesn't it.

I honestly have no clue how I did this. It was just there. But trust me if I knew how I did this, I sure as hell would do it again.

No explantion for this one, I just thought the fire looked kind of sad. No I have no clue what that means, it was just a gut thing.

I have no clue why, when or what but here it is. I sometimes will just grab the camera and shoot, not aim at anything in particular, but just shoot. Sometimes I'm surprised by what gets captured, sometimes it's a let down, and on occasions like this...I just scratch my head, and go what the hell??

Well I guess that's all for today. Be well.

HOLA and that's Spanish not hip hop

"I put my heart and my soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process.”
Vincent Willem van Gogh

I am a weird sort of man. I can talk about things personal and private without batting an eyelash. It's pretty easy for me. I can do that on here especially, simply because to most I am just a faceless entity. Trust me, I talk pretty much the same no matter where I am, or who is around. That's just the kind of beast I am. Or as Season has started to say "That's the way you roll."

But when I truly give up on people and/or society, that taxes my soul in so many ways. I am a believer in the hope that people will rise out of the ashes and become finer, stronger and brighter beings. I hope that some day people will actually care about there fellow men, women, and children. That they will care enough about the world around themselves that instead of turning blind eyes, they will open their arms and embrace all that IS good. Just because it doesn't come in a clean and shiny package, does not mean that it is garbage.

The last time I was truly here, I became part of that blind society. I could have walked away, and, lets be honest, nobody would have cared. I wouldn't have cared.

That's not the man I am anymore. So I took some time.

Times up now. So I return. I return with a new fire burning within the darkest recesses where I will continue to wage a war with my own short comings and self doubts. There are times when I will falter, it is unavoidable and eminent. I am merely human. I guess when I reach mental perfection and spiritual enlightenment, I will be above all of this. But for now, I am neither mentally perfect, nor spiritually enlightened.

That's OK with me. If I have no room for improvement, I have no room for life. So with that said...

How have you all been? My life has not changed much (albeit, my mental and spiritual status is becoming more lucid and less clouded). I still miss spending more time with Season. I still hate my job. I'm still fat and lazy. And I know when Season reads that I will get a 5 knuckle shuffle upside the cranium, which is on my shoulders, and not where she normally claims it is. Saturday is a big day for me, and once it get's here I'll let you all know what happened. Oh yeah today is the full moon, so all you "luna"-tics out there, this is your day.

Oh yeah, I finished reading

This is a beautiful book. It's a first person narrative that deals with "gifts", dead people, love, hope, loss, and destiny. Even if "gifts", dead people, love, hope, loss, and destiny, keeps you in a small town. Even if "gifts", dead people, love, hope, loss, and destiny, tries to eat away at your sanity. Even if "gifts", dead people, love, hope, loss, and destiny, breaks your heart. It's an amazing book. Season has been telling me to read it since before we started dating. I finally did. I think I understand "gifts", dead people, love, hope, loss, and destiny, a little better now.

Umm, I think that's all I got for now...if something else comes to mind, I'll be back.
